  • As a woman who was named Harlie Davis, I can tell you that I personally hate anyone who has the audacity to name their child this.
Growing up, every single person had to, just HAD TO, ask me if my parents loved motorcycles. Every new person I meet, I get asked that. Every time I go to the grocery store and someone learns my name, it's Harley Quinn this, Harley Davidson that, hey, my DOG'S NAME is HARLEY. Not to mention the creepy old men seemed to love me so much because all they could joke about was how much they wish they had a Harlie to ride and how they could use my hair for the handle bars.
I will never forgive my parents and it's one of the top reasons I want to move away from them, so I can be free.
Later this year I'm changing my name when I have money. But if you think that the lack of the last name will improve the name Harley, I promise it doesn't. My old married name did nothing to stop the comments. Not only that, but the very sound of the name is hideous.
